Short Shifter

Does anyone else have the Custom Enterprise short shifter kit? I installed mine today (with many problems) and was wondering how long it took before it wasnt so stiff

stiff ? dont know aye ? i have the courtesy nissan sts, which rocks ! i suppose some will suggest switching your gearbox oil to redline mt90. my sts is stiff i guess but its perfect for me. only missed two shifts last drag racing season, dang 2-3 will get ya sometimes.

I Love my B&M. Still stiff, but you should feel mine w/ Larrio's poly shifter bushing also. BTW, the gear oil goes in the filler hole on the body of the transmission. You will see the filler hole if you look close.

The only shifter that fits precisely is the B&M and i have the same set-up JeremysBlkMax97 has. IMO it is beyond stiff but you get used to it. All i know paired with a 340g **** i have the most accurate and short shift!! I love the set-up.

Does the B&M shifter work with the linkage at all (I know some for other cars do), or is it just the actual shifter thing (like the CE one)?

The SRE short throw shifter is the one that people were raving about from eBay.. I have one, bolted RIGHT up, NO problems at all. Going on a year with it now and I love it. No fabrication issues either, and what a difference! I don't know if the guy is still selling them, search SRE SHORT THROW MAXIMA. A few of us have this one and I assure you its a great piece, like $22!!

I've heard recently that its been hard to contact them and that they've been sending out shipments that were very late... hope they don't go the way of Redline

Make sure your heat shield from the cat isnt' grinding with the bottom of the shifter. That'll make it unstiff.
