cyl. 5 misfire....help!

ive been battling this problem for a couple of days now. i replaced all my spark plugs and switched the coils between 3 and 5. still pulling 0604 #5 misfire. could the coil not be getting any juice and if so how do i fix that? or could my injector be going? any help would be appreciated.

I would check the injector first.

ouch that sucks. #5 is a b*tch to get to. but did you clear the codes before you swapped them? you can get a spark tester for like $6 to test the coils. looks like a spark plug with a clip. you just take the coil out, put the spark tester in, clamp it to a ground point, and start the car. if it sparks than the coils good. not sure how to tell if its an injector though? sorry about that...good luck.

Damn 95 maximas are starting to sound like a pain in the butt to me. I just ran thru that same problem and ive learned that its the injector on that bank because i changed the coil and spark plugs cleared the code and nothing. So change that injector and problem solved.

it seems cylinder 5 is common, I had a misfire in cylinder number 5 and initially I thought it was my coil pack. swapped the coil and it still did it, so I checked the plug and determined that it had not been changed in ALONG time. The electrode was so worn down, id say about a 3/8" gap to 1/2 gap. replaced all my plugs and the car has never run better. Id check the injector too, I never thought about that until after.
