weird starting noise, not the normal complaint

I just replaced my alternator (again) and I put a new belt on. The car runs great, but for some reason my belt squeaks really loud when i start the car after its been sittin a while. is this normal for a new belt? its only when i start it. Should I lube the belt up?

Did you torque the idler pulley down right? Mine squeeked cause the idler pulley wasn't torqued down right. I re-torqued it and the squeek went away.

I think there is a torque spec for it but I didn't have a torque wrench so I tightened it a bit more and that solved the squeaky starting problem.

Make sure your belt tension is good. Twist the belt in a corkscrew motion at its longest length (between the crank pulley and P.S. pulley). You want a 90^ twist.
