No, unfortunatley you cant just do that. You need to get a pair of crossovers. Each crossover will split up frequencies and send the higher frequencies to your tweeter and lower frequencies to your woofer (door speaker).

My Max has tweeters and front speakers in already... if you have the same set up all you have to do is take out the old tweeters and replace them w/ the new ones.. wires will be fine, the crossover is already in as you already have a tweeter and low range front speaker

check the built-in crossover

the built-in crossover is likely just a cap in series. this creates a 6db per octave slope. if so, just wire them in parallel with the woofer.

with the built-in crossover,

all you need to do is wire the tweeter's (-) to the door speaker's (-), same for (+)!

Have fun

Hey Hockeyghst,
I was looking to get a pair of "add on" tweeters myself that have the built-in "crossover." The big thing I'm concerned about is how do you adjust level on these things. I'm sure the sensitivity on these things, as well as placement differences, will mean output mismatching. Ended up scraping the idea because none of the aftermarket "add on" tweeters seem to have provisions for this and I didn't want to spend the big dough needed for separates.
