Whos interested in a cheap adjustable fuel pressure regulator?
I have been working with a member of the SR20forum who takes OEM regulators and converts them to adjustables. They are basically a Nismo AFPR for 1/3 the price. He has been making them for years and selling them on sr20forum for $40, he will convert yours for less. I had a 95-99 SR20 OEM FPR converted by him to test fit on my 98. It fits just about perfect. The outlet tube is only slightly longer, though not an issue. I then sent him my OEM regulator to be converted to make sure they can be done. It came out just like the SR ones, no issues! So this means we can run either one with no issues. Finally a low cost bolt on AFPR for us!

I have not looked into any other generation Maxima regulator, or other Nissan for that matter, but we want to expand and spread the word. He is currently the only maker of the adjuster and putting them together. If anyone has other Nissan makes that need these, send me a pic of the regulator.
Also this is a perfect addition to your SAFC, MEVI, or 00vi... or even your boosted setup.

Well at the moment I have 1 SR regulator ready to go. Its the one in the pix next to the OEM one, just like mine. I plan on buying some A32 cores to get converted. I dont know if he has any converted and in stock, but if you want to contact him ask for a lowport regualtor. Other wise we'll have to wait for some A32 cores.

im abit new to the tuning aspect...
i ran the dyno a while ago and im running really rich, i dont want to put down 300$ plus on an a/f ratio adjuster from apex or whatever they are called.
will this help me to run less rich?

I do not know if the DEK regulator is the same. Some one post some pix of one, maybe a part number too.
yes, you can lower the fuel pressure to lean the mix. Just dont get to crazy since an AFPR alone is very crude.

^^ it all depends on your mods and how you want to tune it. From the factoy the car runs rich (lower a/f #'s ie 12.0:1) so leaning it out can free up some power. Then if you bolt on a bunch of mods you have a chance of leaning out the motor, which too lean can fry a motor. Headers on a 5.5 gen is a good example of a mod that need attention to the fuel. That mod alone can change a/f a good deal.
But the big reason for us to use one is timming advance with the SAFC. Add some fuel with the regulator, then use the AFC to take it back out at the MAF. The motor still gets plenty of fuel, but the ECU thinks its getting less and raises timmming slightly.

Nope, I wont be doing anything with these anymore. I had one A32 made and sold it here. It was never installed because it wouldnt hold vacuum. It was sent back a few times to be fixxed and refixxed and its now MIA. The guy wont respond to me at all. I am still running the low port SR20 FPR fine and it works, its too bad really.

i would never risk an engine due to a pressure regulator
the ones sold for the sr20det fits great also you can use an adapter to remove the fuel pressure regulator and use a remote unit like the aeromotive that by the way is a great regulator
adapter
