Hey there, I had a KS code on a few days ago, fixed that, now I have a couple of temperature sensor codes (I am thinking probably not extremely urgent)
Regardless my problem I am about to explain happened with the old crappy ks and now with the new one to so obviously it has nothing to do with the ks

Luckily this hasn't happened in traffic or at speeds but essentially I will be cruising around, normally after turn when I am getting up to speed but not all the time the car just seems to cut out, rpm guage is all over the place, this is all happening when i am on the accelerator of course making the car jerk a lot, whe I let off same thing, rpms all over and today it actually stalled

It took a little cranking but it did start back up and was kinda showing the same symptoms, I let it "chill" for a little while, and finished getting into my drive way

It seems fairly sporatic, normally it doesn't do it, but when it does it lasts a while and them magically clears up

I also noticed that if I just try to let it idle it jumps back and forth from like 50 rpm's to idle speed, if I try to accelerate (normally by this time I am stopped) if cuts right back out rpm's fall until I let off the gas then it tries to pick up idle again

I have no idea what it could be, maybe fuel pump, I have no idea

I had an old truck that got the timing knock way off and it would idle rough as soon as I go to accelerate it would cut out, but I am thinking its not the same issue because my truck did it ALL the time this is just like once for 30 seconds every 3 days or so

Thanks a ton

sounds to me like your MAF is goin bad, there are a number of things it could be but i would start with that. Is it spitting out any codes?

Mine's doing pretty much the same thing. Stalled out last night and I heard this rapid clicking fromthe fuel pump relay by my left foot.

Do you get the relay clicking sound also?

I didn't notice any clicking noises
The codes it is throwing have to do with the tempereature sensor

The CTS will give you the exact same symptoms you are talking about, replace that 1st and go from there. It's only like $20-$25 part.

CTS = coolant temperature sensor???

Seems a little counterintuitive. or do you mean the crank position sensor?

Coolant temp sensor will make the engine run terrible. It mysteriously clears up and reappears. Easy and cheap. If it is throwing a code, change it.

I had the same issues .... I even stalled out at a red light with people waiting behind me ... terrible experience ... I cleaned my MAF sensor with a MAF sensor cleaner from R&S Strauss and it helped the stalling ... I also changed the ECTS: Engine Coolant Temp Sensor, because many people recommended I changed since then(knock on wood) I've had normal Idle and no stalling .... good luck and keep us updated ...
