Well after being inspired by F&F of course I had to go all the way and wager my pink slip. After throwing in NOS a full cat-back, CAI, and a few other goodies, I took on my friend's SI. One race, about 1 mile long, winner takes the other's car...

I guess one good thing came of all this, I still have my bike, and I'm going car shopping for a new Maxima today!

It's really not that bad...I was going to sell the car soon anyway. It had about 115,000 miles on it and with all the NOS I had flowing through it, it is going to fall apart soon anyway. But I'm going to get a black 5spd today so I'll post pics of the new ride.

Obviously hard to understand my situation. Come from a wealthy family, really don't need to work, wealthy friends, they don't need to work, have some strange attraction to the Nissan Maxima (and motorcycles) and really could careless about the car. It had to many miles, and too many mods that killed the engine. He didn't really give a flying f*ck about his car either. Mabey I'll get an M3 instead of a Maxima. We'll see. Thanks for your constructive input.

P.S...Go to Northern Parkway and Walbash Ave, in Baltimore City, Saturday nights at 10:30ish...Then tell me I'm full of sh*t and that people don't race for slips. Just because your town or friends are to pu$$y to race for some real cash doesn't mean everyone is.

Loser

Yeah. Get an M3. Maybe then you'll take your arrogant elitist attitude to bimmer.org and spare us your stupid stories. It's like going to casino and bragging to your friends that you lost $1000. It doesn't take much talent to be a loser.

I'm sorry, I don't see the humor in that comment. Is the "maxaholic" under your name equally as "cute"?

Do I smell a hint of "Jelousy" in the air?

"Stupid Stories"...
But all the stories of people beating vipers, V12 BMW's or roadkilling stock Civic's, 318 bimmers and the best one, out running a police officer while intoxicated displays a much more intelligent and mature attitude than an interesting (and original) story of a person loosing his car in a race (which happens weekley in Baltimore). Sorry you are intimidated by my "elitist" attitude, or mabey it's just my confidence and ability to bounce back from a tuff loss that really strikes a sore spot with you.

"Going to a casino and bragging to your friends..."
There was no bragging involved in this post. I was simply telling you guys a story I thought you might find interesting, and definetly a first for this board. Then after someone made the accusation of why they thought I was lying, I just explained my situation to them to better help that person understand why this story is not so far fetched.

"Doesn't take much talent to be a loser"...
You confirmed this statement quite adequately.

Actually, you'd be surprised how many people do it. Or stupid **** like it. Most of them have day jobs as mechanics so getting used cars and parts isn't too hard for them. I don't know about this cracked out b!tch, but that seems like a lot of money to give away...

Why is it that almost every thread turns into a flame war after a while. Can't we all get along? Do you guys get some kind of excitement out of arguing and bashing on each other like little kids with chocolate?

Yamaha..What year Max was it....Just curious...

You lost, therefore you are a loser.

>>Come from a wealthy family, really don't need to work,
>>wealthy friends, they don't need to work, have some
>>strange attraction to the Nissan Maxima (and motorcycles)
>>and really could care less about the car.

You don't call this attitude elitist? Well, let me help you.
Most people on these forums worked hard for their cars, and care very much for them, and don't treat them as disposable toys. Do you think maybe you are in the wrong place?

OK EVERYONE, CHILL OUT

Seriously, this happens. I know people that have 5 or 6 cars and have no problem losing them. Is it a believable story? Yes. Did it happen? Probably. Would I do it myself? No. Just because he came on and told a story, that doesn't mean that we have to believe or disbelieve him. He flamed NO ONE. He insulted NO ONE. All he did was tell a story, a believable story. SS2K1 has it right. Everyone around here lately has been very jumpy. CHILL OUT!!

Hey Medsonic, I like your new sig pic. But with all the time you spend here on the boards, why are those struts/springs not installed yet???

I'm doing it at work, and have 3 other people helping me. The next time all 4 are at work is the 6th of July. It'll be on then. Too bad it looks like it won't be a big enough drop. Oh well.

You know what?? It doesn't matter how wealthy you are. When you just gamble away that much money on a stupid cause (yes, I said RACING IS STUPID) it shows your lack of maturity and responsibility. So you couldn't just race and see who the winner and say, loser pays for lunch or dinner?? I wonder if you still view this dude you lost your car to as a friend. After all, he did win your car! And what kind of friend is the other dude if he actually TAKES your car after he wins? Would you have taken his car?? I've made stupid bets with friends before, but when it comes down to it, we would never hurt each other by taking away something valuable as part of the winnings.

So yeah go get your M3 and maybe you won't be betting pink slips on that. Actually it might be more accurate to say go get yourself on an M3 waiting list. If you can just bet your Maxima on a race like that, you shouldn't be looking to buy another cheap Maxima, but rather a more substantial performance vehicle.

I must be a pu$$y. I wouldn't bet my pinkslip on anything like that. But then again, I wouldn't mind running your R6 in my 9R just to see what happens (not for pink slips of course).

Not that I don't believe you lost your car or the race, but you lost to a Civic SI??? Can those things do 140mph stock?

I know of several 13 second Sis. Its possible, not stock of course, but very possible to get you butt handed to you by a Honda Civic Si.

Is it really that much work? Me and my friend replaced his front springs (there are no rear) on his Porsche 944, and it only took us like an hour, including the time it took for his uncle to compress the springs on his machine. What could be so different about the Max that you'd need 4 people? Not asking to be rude, just to find out so I'm not surprised when I go to do it myself...
