Belt Problem. Need help.

My drive belt needs to be replaced and i broke my idler pulley bolt the first time because the belt i got from checker was too long. I ordered a new idler assembly and belt from courtesy parts and the belt is still too long. with the tensioner all the way down it doesnt even come close to keeping the belt tight. You can pull it off with out any difficulty. Here is a picture of the two belts, the one on the inside is the belt that was on the car before.

I just thought of this, but the car has a DMS lightweight pulley. Is it a smaller pulley than the stock one? because that will explain everything. Thanks

Take the original belt to the parts store and have them match it up with correct size.

Get an interchange on the old belt number (should be printed on it) and pick yourself up the correct one.
