I have 18x8 with a 30mm offset wrapped in 245/45/18 all around right now. The rear wheels rub on small bumps when i have four people in the car. I want to try and keep the 245 size. Can i go with 245/40/18 to avoid rubbing or should i just go with 235/40/18? Any experience with this sizes?
Any input is appreciated.

235/40 wont rub at all, thats what I use to have. You can always roll your fenders to keep your current setup from rubbing.

do you know anyone who can roll the fenders?

 

Not really anyone who is official. You wont find any shops that will do this for you because its very easy to mess up your fender and chip your paint. Most auto stores will rent you a fender rolling tool, but Ive seen people really **** up their fenders with those. Your best bet is to jack up your car and roll them by hand with a baseball bat.
