Brake light on, how to reset?

Brake light on, how to reset?

I have a brake light on and emergency brake is not engaged. It has been on for a while, how do i reset it? I was little low on brake fliud and I just added some but the light is still there.

you dont reset a brake light. make sure the fluid is above min level and make sure the handle is all of the way down. you may have the parking brake handle up jsut 1 click. and FYI, the brake light usually indicates time for a pad change. you should have checked your pads instead of filling it up.

Also check to make sure your cables aren't sticking a little. The light could be on even if you have the handle all the way down. And definately check your rear brakes and calipers.

Its pretty sad that you have been on the org since the begining and dont know anything about that light. Its only been addressed like once a month.

I have the same problem more or less except that mine will sometimes shut off and come back on.

Hell I think it might be in the FAQ's or even owners manual. Check the fluid level, check the parking brake...

Its funny I’m not bashing anyone, but why do people fall back on the “well I have a life and I’m not on here all the time. . . “ ?? I’m not sure about everybody else but I have a life but oh yea I’m on here a lot, I get bored at work, My Maxima is a fun hobby, certainly people with lives spend some times with their hobbies/ passions. Its just always interesting, its up there when people are arguing in a thread and then they attack the other persons grammar. . .

Fluild levels were fine and brake is not engaged.

Well I haven't noticed the typical suttering when brake pads are worn. and does the maxima even have a warning like that?
