bought new 97 max problem starting allready
well just got the new max 97 gle. great car smooth and all when its running.
the problem is getting it running first i know i need a new igintion switch since it take some time to get any response from turing the key. After a couple of jiggles it will start to crank the starter.
anyway the problem is it wont start right up. i have no engine codes nothing. the way i get it started is by cranking the engine letting go fast and cranking it again while the other crank just stopped. it seems that it doesnt get gas. mechanic said fuel pump is good. so when i keep cranking it back to back i guess the gas builds up and is enouhg for it to start. once started NO NO Problems smoother than a babys butt.
what could this be? i know the car sat for about 3-4 months. but i drove it allready about 300 miles and no difference. ?

Your no repsonse on the key sounds like the ignition switch. Takes about 15 min to change and is only $30 at any local auto store.

I don't know for sure but maybe the messed up ignition switch is causing it to start hard, maybe some contacts are messed up. I would deal with the known issue first, like the ignition switch, and if that doesn't fix it look at other things.
