Seat swap?

I'm just wondering what other year seats can fit into my 98... I know someone did 01 seats I believe but I dont know for sure. I'm sure its just a matter of drilling new bolt holes on the seat brackets. I like the 04 seats but I'm not sure they would fit. Any ideas? Just thinking about it right now.

I've seen 350z seats in a 4th gen. Not sure about the work to get them in though. I also want some new seats. I sit in mine then would sit in my mothers 6th gen or my brothers 5.5 and it makes my seat feel like solid wood... I want something a little softer...

Yeah I know the 01's fit. The back seats need work to fit in. But I like the 5.5 gen seats. I'll start looking into it. I just wanted to know if anyone has done it. Might be hard to find reasonable priced seats as well.

What's the problem with relocating the current ones?

Well the buckles up front dont need to be changed...and the rears...should be fine just with a little changes. What's the difference? Just that the middle seat has the belt as a strap instead of a lap belt right? So the 2004 seats should fit in the 98... I wonder if I could find pics of the underside for bolt comparison. I'm guessing the snaps won't be the same either.

Freeway, any idea where I can get pics of his car?

The pic is one of the sexiest things I have ever seen. What seats are those again?

EDIT: I am guessing 04 Maxima seats?

I really like the g35 but I dont want the infiniti symbols. 350z are nice too but not sure how the rears would work. the 04 seats look the best IMO. Would I have to weld the 4th seats to the 5th brackets? Could I drill and bolt? I don't have a welder. The rears of the 04 wouldnt fit either since it has the gap in the middle and all....not sure what to do with that.

Fitting the Z seats in would be sexy, nice leather, looks semi oem with more comfort.

its all about the bracket. If you know a welder or have good tools to modify you should be able to fit the Z seats and almost any seats in the max.

Does anyone know if the Z seats move and function like the OEM 4th gen powered seats?

Yes both sets fully move.

The 350Z seats pictured actually use the 350 padding whereas the G35 seats used the Maxima padding, thus the bulge.

The basic idea is getting the other seats onto the A32 seat frame.

Haven't had the two side by side. I can't imagine it costing very much to weld the mounting points, and you may not need to change all of them.

You CAN drill out the mounting points and swap them on the 4th gen rails but this is an "ice skating uphill" approch. I have done this before.

What do you mean? Drilling won't help? What exactly would get welded because my roomates friend has a welder. I think the other pic are 02 seats. I like those. They look good, comfortable, and the leather looks pretty tight, unlike the 03. Not sure why the 03 leather isn't tight but the 02 and 04 and ^ are.

edit: nvm it looks like its just the wear on the seats. I can't find good pics of the interiors of the 02 and 03.
