Crank Position sensor troubles

Ok its christmas eve so i dont expect lots of quick answers but as good as i am with cars im stumped and need help. Heres the senario :

Car drives fine all day and park it at night but the cel is on for P1336

Next day i go to drive it and at 3000rpm it stutters and loses power ect...
CODE P1336 comes up for the CPS (POS) rear crank sensor.

I replace the sensor and still the same outcome.

i used an ohm meter on the new and old sensor and they had the same reading. There is 3 pins on the sensor so there would we three ohm readings.
165,154, and 21 for (ex pins 1&2, 1&3, 2&3)

the new sensor read the same ohm readings so i concluded its not the sensor. Maybe the harness ? i used the ohm reading on the pins thru the harness and got the same ohm readings BUT :

the harness has 4 pins on one side and 3 on the other...am i missing something ? what else would cause the P1336 code ? where does that other wire go ?

im pretty sure the plate on the back of the flywheel wasnt damaged cause the car was riding fine before.

im just fishin for some answers before i take it apart again......im so sick of removing that tranny.......i may just trade it in crashed and all and get a new car....

Stupid question, but did you clear the ECU after replacing the sensor?

P1336 - CPS (POS looking at the flywheel from under the bell housing)
Sensor signal fault or signal plate damage.

If you changed the correct sensor and the code still comes up, then your next step is to check the signal plate (Flywheel) for damage.
The flywheel has 6 specific pickup points.

Merry x-mass.
