Ok, so I am driving, Steroe on or off, Heated seats on or off and my e brake light and battery light might flicker or stay on for like 30 secs. WTF. I have gone through tones of altranators and this is a new battery. The connections on the battery are top notch, Ive messed with that more then once.
Ideas?

Snap, Good call my man. I will check that out. Since they are not consistanly Lit up (random) I am going to assume it comes on when my car drops below 10 volts. I will check to see if the fuse is part broken, or partly inserted. Also the pig tails that come off my alt are pretty shady.
thanks

If it is an alt, find a local guy who rebuilds them, slip him a 20 at the start, and tell him to make it bulletproof, i know a few allante guys who have done this, worked out quite well

I went through the same thing. except i had my alternator tested at it was putting out 14v or what ever normal is. in any case the alternator kept testing good. so i drove for a year with the battery and brake light coming on and off. very annoying. then one day i felt a slight hesitation with light dimming while accelerating on the freeway. took it straight to the mechanic and got a new alternator. i went with a bosch. i had a rebuild. LIghts have never come on again. I didn't want to believe it was the alternator....but it was...
Ok, so you mention to find a guy that rebuilds them. Any idea where I would look to get this??? Like, just go to garages around town? Are there any stores that do it?
I wish I knew how to do it myself. No offence to the fellow mechanics out there, But I (computer tech) can do anything you can do (mechanical wise)

alot of people cant rebuild them ....just search ur phone book for automotive or electrical places.....and start calling and asking...most regular shops wont rebuild cause its easier and more cost effective to buy one from a parts store so its mostly a specialized place.....this place is local to me
