trunk swap

trying to change my trunk right now, but how do you swap the wires? 95/96 is opposite 97/99 so how do i put the wires in for the brakes and reverse lights? I have the ebay red clears and I dont know how to put my 95 wiring in there. thanks

huh? you have a 95-96 and you're putting 97+ red/clears on? if you're doing it to a 95 trunk from what i remember the lights dont fit without modifying the trunk, the lights should plug in, but dont quote me on that, never had a 95.

I swapped the 97+ lid and you'll need the inner light harness. the reverse lights are smaller. I was lucky to have found one harness so one of my reverse lights can plug into the tail lights.

I need to get a second harness so I can have both reverse lights.

My reverse lights fit. The outer tail light harness was different. You can just duct tape the light bulbs into the holes.
