i have 96 gxe 5 speed and my problem is engine shutdown at speeds between 112 and 118 mph. it is embarrasing and once it nearly got me in a accident. is there any remedy for this problem?

 

Welcome to the joys of owning a damn GXE with speed limiter. Only way I know of is to get the ECU upgrades ( Around $500-$600) Someone found a wire you can cut and add a switch to , but when turned off, the entire gauge pod goes dead, so you dont know how fast your going.
