so my alternator puts out 57amps at 2000rpm
at least thats what the guys at advance auto told me after testing it. that means my alternator is toast right? since it should be putting out like 100amps i think
alternator output is based on rpm as well. think old-style dynamo on a bicycle, it gets brighter as you pedal faster. alternators a little more advanced because it has a diode bridge and voltage regulator that regulates your output voltage.
