Spudder in acceleration

I replaced the knock sensor this last weekend. I also replaced the last spark plug the one in the back on the right. The last person that had the car stiped one of the screws that holds the pack down and lost the other one 2 screws= $5.00 at the dealer. Anyway now the car spudders under acceleration. It is smooth at rest but when you accelerate it spudders a bit. Also when I went to put the powerpack back in the little rubber boot on the bottom of the shaft fell in and I did not have a lot of time to get it out so I pushed it down and put the powerpack back on. Is this my problem or is it the knock sensor I bought. Ebay but it looked brand new and came in a nissan box.

sounds like one or more of the following, but don't take my word for it. you need to get your codes checked and your cylinders/coils/sparkers checked. its a good thing you replaced the knock sensor though. I'm also not sure what you're talking about with the little rubber boot. if that fell in to the cylinder, i'd be surprised that the engine still runs.

a) you're not getting compression on one or more cylinders
b) one or more coilpacks may have gone bad
c) one or more sparkplugs may have gone bad

It did not fall into the cylinder. It is the boot that goes on the the end of the pack that wraps around the top of the spark plug.it is now just around the top of the spark plug and not attached to the Coil pack

It sounds to me as if the coil is junk. As far as I know, I don't think the rubber boot is supposed to come apart from the ignition coil. Best of Luck.

Is that the same sound many aged cars make while accelerating?

stop being cheap. you dont change 1 plug. and you dont use a broken coil pack. driving like that can cause even more problems. change the coil pack and change all of the plugs.

if you change all the plugs and the coil pack and the problem still lingers, you may want to test the resistance across the injectors. sputtering could mean bad injectors.

I did not change 1 plug I changed all the rest and then found that the screw on 2 screws on the last pack in the back on the right had problems one was stripped and the other was totally missing. I got the car like that. I got the 2 screws from the dealer and did the last plug but I had to bent the shaft of the coil pack to get it out and put it back in. Because of that modual of some kind that sits there. But as I was putting it back in the rubber piece on the bottom fell off. I did not have anyhting to get in ther with to get it out so I just pushed it down over the plug and put the coil pack back on.

if you are talking about the rear coil pack right next to the throttle body, you have to remove whatever is blocking it. and you broke the coilpack by "bending" it. and that is why you have a misfire. prob have a CEL light on too.
