FTW, that's my favorite color combo: Blue headlights, yellow fogs, and amber corners. :

I personally like 6000K headlights 6000K fogs because it is clean. Im not a fan of the yellow fogs and I plan to do this mod in the future.

I forgot to mention that this forum has a lot of pics comparing different headlight/foglight outputs. Maybe this will help...

I have 6k headlights and am going to get a pair of 4300k fogs. I think it would look better. But i voted for 6k combo.

couple guys have the yellow fogs from ebay. A few have had them crack very quickly. If you get them, get some product 3M film to put over the fog.

lol jvelos. 6000k is actually every bit as bright, if not brighter, than 4300k, but above that its brightness decreases.

uve gotta be joking right. 4300k is brightest. 6000k might look as bright since it is bluer...blue to human eyes appear to be bright and more intense but in actuality it is not.

light is composed of multiple wavelengths of light. the color is dependent on the wavelength it travels at. since 6000k has more higher wavelength light in it...aka blue purple

also remember that the colors u see on objects is from that object reflecting a particular wavelength or set of wavelengths. since 6000k light has more higher wavelength light in it...it will reflect these wavelengths more and at a higher brightness. Remember that road signs, lines, and such on the road are all either white, red, or yellow. blue is rarely used. this means that 6000k will be less effective showing the important things on the road. this is the exact reason why 3000k is used often at fog lights. in inclimate weather the yellow color will pierce through snow, fog, and rain while effectively reflecting the color of lanes so u dont go off road or into other peoples lanes.

so 6000k is lesser in lumens...about 33% less. and it is also it wont reflect the proper wavelengths of color making it dangerous.

please dont get anything other than 4300k or 5000k for main running lights and 3000k or 4300k for foglights.

if u want the purple color then retrofit a projector into ur headlight housing.

the purple and blue color u see is from light refracting over the cutoff shield of projectors.

4300k/"2500k" here. Switching to 5000K headlight soon. 6000K is too much color for me, but I voted for it anyway.

The projectors kind of "flicker" different colors depending on where you are relative to their beam pattern. Usually human eyes are a decent amount above the cutoff, so the light appears blue or purple. The "flicker" effect is just a property of projectors.
