Badge of Respect
#1
When you drive around with "MAXIMA" tattooed to the back of your car, you are usually given a certain latitude of respect from other drivers on the road. This modicum of respect from other drivers is neither patented by nor licenced by Nissan to pass on to Maxima owners. It is earned everyday by all owners of this fine automobile. Take heed not to humiliate the Toyotas and BMWs of the world. Live and let live. They all know you can kick butt if you wanted. The secret is horsepower to weight. Maxima with 190 HP pulling 3100 pounds of car is a beautiful ratio. Can a '97 standard auto (GXE) really pop 0-60MPH in 6.5 seconds?
Just curious, but not daring to try it myself.

No, more like 0-60 in around 8 seconds. If you brake torque and beat the tranny, you might get 0-60 in 7.6s.

hmmm haha cool... i'm a 5spd so i'm happy.. haha... while other drivers give me respect... i give most BMWs respect...
haha and from my experience people have no idea that Maximas are quick cars... girls like them... guys dont know exactly what they are... and when its souped up, it looks sweet...
but after they take a ride in my max... i get respect except from shiet talkin Integra or Civic fools who's mouths run at the same 7000rpm (7000wpm) that their sewing machine four bangers do...
