That is the look I want. They look great. Did you keep the side red markers, or did you disable them.

Re: Great Job!

i had "superwhite" bulbs to replace where the red was and it made the whole lense look blue, so i am still contemplating what to do.. cuz it just looks dumb.. i am thinking about just hyperwhites to have a bright shine, or i will remove that light altogether..

Why not try the Silvervision bulbs from autolamps-online.com. I have them on my car and they are awesome! The bulb disappears but still maintains the OEM orange when used. Plus shipping is free. Group deal anyone?

I'm not sure about the actual regulations but I think you should be fine because most of the american cars have those 2-in-1 brake/red turn signals so I don't see why not?

I want to do this but I'm scared to damage the light itself. Do you really need a heat gun ?

Screwed up.....

OK. First off, I started with the driver's side. I used a heat gun to heat the edges but I don't think I applied enough heat and ended up cracking the outer lenses. I think i got too anxious and really forced it. I guess I'll just order new ones from custommaxima. Damn it, I'm really disappointed in myself right now......#$%&*@!!!!

Who has the best directions for the clear tail lights?????
Which one is the best to use heat gun or hair dryer????
Is the difference between the heat gun and the hair dryer are the time it takes?

Don't get discouraged. It just requires some patience heating up the glue. I didn't even use a heatgun, just a hairdryer.

Who's got the best price for red/clear tails? I don't think I'm continuing this mod because I already broke the driver's side piece.

I used the instructions from PerformanceIX.
http://www.performanceix.com/how-to/...axima_tail.asp
I believe that using a hairdryer is safer on the lenses, and if you have a decent one it shouldn't take long at all.

Someone on this forum does them for $50, but your car would be unusable for about a week.

If i had only known about these intructions instead of the others, I think i would have had the same results.
