looks greats! How you mod it for color? Did you bend the shield or washer mod?

*cough* mine's better.

Just kidding, I almost went the R34 route... but decided I like the single projector/reflector look. Looks great man. Now to see if mine will fit on the car...

+1.

Looks great. Hopefully I'll find a way to move my battery.

And I totally hear you on the "long weekend," the ONLY thing I did this weekend was retrofit.

The way I got around using the shroud is a PITA. haha.

-1, looks good because the camera is blinded by the light. turn the light's off and take a pic. as too price yeah i know, a piece of plastic is not worth $100. you could of tried making your own. but other than that, nice work. how did it go? any problems while doing them?

did you have to move your battery at all to have room for the projectors?

these are definetly sick, nice job!got to admit i didnt like em at first. what type of projectors did you use? ive been asking a question about bixenon maybe you can answer for me. does bixenon mean that there is a high beam in the projector. i noticed someone else used bixenon TL with the r34 housing and it looks like they completely cut out the wires for the high beam socket. So im guessing it means there is a built in highbeam. is this correct?

I used a single xenon BMW/Bosch E46 projector.

Bixenon means you have a low beam and a high beam integrated into the HID bulb or projector. There are two different ways to achieve this.

1) Bixenon HID projectors means the actual projector has a high beam solenoid that moves the cutoff shield lower when the high beam switch is activated. These are great, but the projectors are more expensive than single xenon projectors. These projectors are OEM HID projectors and use a single OEM D2S bulb.

2) A bixenon HID kit means the bulbs are rebased and there is a solenoid built into the HID bulb that moves the bulb up and down. Either that or the HID bulbs have a separate, smaller halogen bulb next to the HID bulb that acts as a high beam when the switch is activated. Bixenon HID kits are the ones that you see being sold in the group deals forum.

With the R34 lights, there is a separate high beam already so Bixenon is not necessary to retain your high beams, although Bixenon is teh pimpness and great to have. With stock lights, you will need Bixenon or else you won't have a high beam.

Eric

did you just buy those of e-bay or what? I'm thinking of getting the ones off of there but does it take a lot to get them to fit?

Sure James, I'm always willing to help.

But you won't be seeing them on my car anymore!
