how much does one 99 max key cost?
my dad just lost his, I need another one, local nissan dealer wants $100 canadian for a key + a lot more with keyless entry, is there anywhere I can get it cheaper? and if I got it somewhere else, is it hard to program it?
RE: Maxima Key & Remote.
Your best bet is going to get a used one (maybe a new one) off of eBay. I'm sure anyone will ship to Canada if you pay (you can always eMail the seller to check). I don't know exactly what they go for, but I know they are A LOT cheaper than a dealer. You might also want to check Courtesy Nissan (www.courtesyparts.com) and see if they sell them. Just trying to help.

I've seen uncut blank ones on ebay.
Sounds About Right
I have all of my keys, just the plastic part that holds the key on the ring broke on one of mine. When I asked my dealer, I was told $57 for the Key and $46 to have it programed. So I will stick with tape for now. Stefnee

Might as well just do it. I was quoted around $100 too. The problem is that they also have to reprogram your current key and the system so that all three match. At least that is why the service guy said. As for the Keyless entry, i'm going to get a clifford soon, that will just have to be my keyless.
Prices sound a little high, but CDN $'s may be the diff
I just bought one at the (US) dealer for $47 including cutting. The labor to reprogram all the keys was $34. I have '99 keyless, but I don't think it made any difference in the price and they didn't appear to do anything with the remote itself while programming the keys.
