Rotten Crossmember

Rotten Crossmember

So after waiting two weeks for my car from transmission repairs, the mechanic says i should start looking for a new car because it looks like my crossmember is rotten???? I honestly dont want to get rid of my car even if i get a new one, any suggesion on what to do??? i am planning on getting a new maxima but i still want to keep this one...

find a used crossmember in good condition and replace it also change your mechanic while at it

lol... thats funny that yall said that cause i was actually looking for a new mechanic... he's not really my mechanic... when he said to look for a new car, i took it negativley, but thanks a lot guys i was about to hit the panic button.

yeah... get a new or used good conditon crossmember I know mine is about to go out I am using mad load of wd40 to keep fighting of the rust. To be safe don't even let your mech touch your car cause I learned the hard way stupid mech tore up my 3rd gen. Get another mech.

even buying a new cross,memeber for around $350 a piece brand new is better than investing in another car

like i say, he's not my mechanic but it's hard to find a mechanic in MD that's a nissan enthusiast, i've met a lot of good mechanics but im very picky about my car and most mechanics that i've met just haven't make the cut, i know maxima's can be a B!tc# to work on at times but when a mechanic looks a lil bit doubtful to work on the maxima i really cant trust em, i want someone that looks forward to working on any nissan and they hardly exist in MD

also there are members here parting a few maximas/i30's you can buy the crossmember from them cheaper check the classifieds
