I just installed the new stereo system in my car and HOLY CRAP it's a killer! I bought the eclipse 5441i head unit, mb quart component set for the fronts and mb quart 6.5 coax's for the rears, powered by an adonis of an amp-the phoenix gold zx450. I just need the other 25% of my system (sub and amp) to be installed and I'll be FULLY happy! It is so loud that it's fully ridiculous and the distortion is nil! But the best part is that I'm only using a small portion of what the amp can do! No one's ears can take anything louder, I've tested it and people just can't take it, including myself! I'll have some pictures of the deck in the car soon. Any suggestions on the amp for the sub, and the sub itself???

I was thinking PG zx500 or the new 600ti and for a 12" sub, either a flat-piston ppi, xmax or an aluminum eclipse.

I'll transfer the prices to american!

300 for the deck
425 for the speakers-all 6
50 dollars for the wiring kit
500 for the amp

Everything was 100% new, I just happen to fall on some incredible deals up here.

Wheee =)

Good to hear, my systems kinda the same, but only because I never readjusted my gains on my mid/high amp. For subs, I'd go with at least 600w, and either:

a) First choice - an Audiomobile MASS 12" (www.audiomobileinc.com I think)

b) Second - Alumapro Alchemy

c) Tie for Second, Eclipse Alum.

The Audiomobile should sound a little better but not by much, both of the aluminum ones are great.
