97-99 front end conversion question
97-99 front end conversion question
Ok, the time has come to convert from a 95 front end to a 97-99. I know I need a new bumper cover, but I need a new grille as well right? anything else i need to know about it?
Everything you need can be found in the stickies. Search these before posting.

thanks for the kind words guys! the only reason i'm doing a front-end conversion is that my faner was messed up on one side and yesterday someone else backed into my other fender. So I'm going to replace both fenders and repaint the bumper anyway to blend it so i figure i might as well just replace it all and do it the way i REALLY wanted it in the first place! (as long as it's semi-cost effective)

you do not need a new grille. however your 95 grille will have a gap. it's not a piece you HAVE to get.
the only thing to get the 97 bumper on your car is to remove 4 square bars on the front metal support. everything will bolt up perfectly and the ebay bumper do fit good.
if you want a lip you will have to buy one for a 97 bumper.

You HAVE to get it if you want it to look right. If not, the gap is quite large and looks pretty obvious.
