Okay here's the problem, I just bought a PRCAI from someone here on the org. I know how to hook it up, but I don't know EXACTLY where to drill the hole. I've searched and searched, found several pics of installed PRCAI, even read how to install. But none depict exactly where to drill. I know to remove battery, wire harness, etc... but my problem once again is where EXACTLY to drill. If someone (and I know there are several of you out there) could give me a close-up picture(s) It would be helpful thanks. PLEASE I don't need round about directions I'm looking for a picture of the hole drilled into the fender.

Your best bet would be to get the midpipe hooked up and figure out exactly where your filter is going to end up and mark it. Where someone else drilled might not work exactly for where your filter will need to go.

i didn't use a template..... my cuz who is also a fellow orger did it for me.... there is a lil hole right where the pipe is suppose to go down.... about a 1/2 inch hole.... we just used that lil hole to align the 3' hole cutter and cut through... don't know if that was right but it worked for both of our cars

Remember, this is held together by flexible couplers. It is best to keep things linear, but a little off in one direction or the other won't kill you.

Also, the really flexible rubber door edge protectors can be used to go around the hole that you have cut to help hold the pipe in place and to reduce rattling.

thats what we did, but we used a rubber with a smaller diameter though.... we used one that was about the size of the overflow hose for the radiator.

Do any of you with a CAI worry about hydrolock? Do you have any troubles driving in the rain or do you avoid wet weather all together? Using bypass valves? I am thinking about a CAI, but am a little worried about the possibility of hydrolock.

driving in the rain is no big deal... the filter it to high to get wet unless u driving on flooded streets like me... last week i drove right into this huge puddle of water, it was more like a pond in the street, about a foot deep and water splashed onto the filter and the car shut down... but thats only because i tried to use a flooded street and i didnt see how high the water was..
