eBay foglight question

Hey all,

Has anyone gotten these lights or dealt with the vendor before?

Thanks

All I have to say is make sure you get those protected with some kinda of 3m glass protection. I have read that e-bay fogs crack easily when hit with a rock.

Anything glass that gets hit by a rock will break! My stock fogs are both cracked, so I'm gonna try those fogs from that vendor (I'll be sure to get some 3M film)

His name is "oemqualityparts" and he has almost 100% feedback. I'd say it's a safe bet.

I'll keep you updated. You can also get those without the Xenon bulbs from the same vendor.

I go by this basic rule... an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Just be safe and stick the 3m film on them. Better to be safe than sorry.

I agree ^, I had Ebay ones (clear) and they broke within a month. At least put on the film. Trust us, there are many of us that have been down that road.

I bought used OEM ones and have had no problems since (8 months). But then again, in Ohio, there is a lot of loose rocks on the road from winter/ salting. Mix that with cold weather and a hot bulb, goodbye fog light. The problem with the Ebay fogs is that even though they are glass, they are made of thinner and cheaper glass, so they crack easier.

I wanted to purchase from him too, but I don't think my GXE has stock fog light wiring, and I'm too lazy to work on them right now...

The lights themselves seem to be of fair quality, given his feedback. I'd skip on the ricer bulbs and get something that is yellow rather than that poo-poo blue, which will be useless in fog.

I'd also recommend the 3M film.

If I am not mistaken, the GXE comes with the wiring and the relay, just not the switch... correct me if I'm wrong anyone?

The GXE is all prewired...you just need to cut the holes and get the new stalk on the drivers column.

This is from Courtesy Nissan Parts:

1997 to 1999 Maximas are pre-wired for fog lights (except SE and GXE A/T models without factory ABS, VSS and a Driver's Power Seat)
I have an auto GXE without ABS, and I don't have power seats either. Not sure what VSS is though..

No idea if I have that haha.

Anyway, doesn't that say that I don't have stock wiring?

Edit: But I will check later today when I get home. Haven't had too much of an interest yet, but now since the topic is brought up, I might as well.

I couldn't find any stock wiring around the fogs or behind the turn signals. There is a fuse for the fog light but no relay under the hood.

the lights are good quality. i agree that the lights it comes with aren't that nice. i got a set of 10000k h3 HIDs for the fogs but i need to get the right ones first. thats the same temp i have for my headlights.

I've bought from this vendor. I had to replace one of my fogs. It's been almost a year I think since I changed it out. Oddly enough it was cause the OEM was totally blown out by a rock. That's the only way to describe it. I havent had a problem with this one. I was impressed with the quality of the kit.
