rpm's

it started earlier today when i apply brake pressure for a light for instance, when i am about to come to a complete stop my rpms drop unusally low (around 300-450) and the car shakes a little bit. It accelerates fine and starts well when its warm...anyone have any ideas?

thanks for your help.

Need background.

CEL's? How's the intake tubing looking, any leaks? How's the IAT sensor?

This should surely be a sticky.

1. clean tb
2. clean iacv
3. check engine coolant temp sensor
4. clean pcv

Well thanks for the help, but here's some more problems...i have already replaced the pcv valve and tubing, the coolant temp sensor, the iat sensor, and cleaned the throttle body and idle air control valve due to an earlier problem that never got solved. (hard cold starting) which is why this is somewhat puzzling. check engine light i currently have is 0302 (high/low flow egr) which i tried fixing a year ago, but didn't. keep it comming if you can think of anything else.

thanks.

what he said^^^^^
just sell it to me for a grand...
otherwise... replace the EGR valve...clean out the ports and you should be good...
The reason why it's stalling is because the EGR valve is sticking open causing the same problem as a vaccum leak...

The CEL is a very helpfull source for diagnoses of a problem... if you fix it you'll be running beautifully...it's probally running real LEAN... bad for the motor...
