Need help diagnose

I raised the front end of my car, two hands on the sides of passenger side wheel, right hand pushing and left hand pulling, I was able to turn the wheel about 20 degrees, and the steering wheel turned along. I was NOT supposed to able to do that, right? That's a lot of play. I remembered reading that it's related to ball joint (don't know if it's right), both ball joints are replaced less than a month ago. Anyone knows what can cause this much play?

As always, Thanks.

no if its up in the air then the the wheels will move freely so no you have no problem to worry about vertical movement would indicate either a bad ball joint or wheel bearing

if the steering wheel isnt locked then it should turn left/right all the way. to check a ball joint raise the car up, by the frame, and put one hand on the top of the wheel and the other and the bottom, push and pull. it should be tight if both ball joints have been replaced. side to side is usually a tie rod issue, if theres some looseness side to side, and up and down, it could be a wheel bearing.
