odometer works but tripometer doesn't...please help

odometer works but tripometer doesn't...please help
Washed my engine out and now my tripometer doesn't rotate. Looks like it wants to, but stays stuck. The odometer works just fine though. Any help would be appreciated.

Prob need a new cluster, what year max? I assume 95-97 since those clusters are known to stop logging miles

Yeah, it's a 97. Like I said, it tries to rotate, but gets stuck, so it's not like it has stopped completely.

What you can do is open it up and see if anything is blocking the "rubberbands" from turning.

ok, I'll give that a try. It's more just of an annoyance than anything to see it not rotating.
