People say that if you lower it mainly more than 1.5 that you will blow your stock struts. Also, alot of people prefer the adjustable so you can change the settings. I don't plan on doing the adjustable just for the simple fact that my driving habits don't change nor do I drive on many different types of roads. If a road is f****d up, I usually avoid it. I'm not any kind of expert on struts or anything, but I think you will be fine just getting the hp's, paired with the progress, unless you want more of a drop. Then of course you can go with the s-techs, in which they say your stock struts will die pretty soon.

It may not be in the stickys, but it has been covered a THOUSAND times before...

With ANY lowering spring, your spring rate will be too strong for th estock damping to handle and your struts- even if brand new- will blow out. Between the increased load on the damping and the increased chances of the strut bottoming out (travel in excess of design limits), you will inevitably blow your struts very quickly.

haha you need to remember he's a mod and sees this stuff all the time. He's dealt with so many of these threads and so have we. After a while you'll see what it's like to get someone asking the same questions we've tried to give detailed responses to time and time again. You can only post the same answers so many times. If it's not in the stickies, free search it first. You really can find lots of information that way. I'm not trying to be an a$$ with this one, just letting you know that the attitude you give can get you from here.

And the answer was given: any springs will be bad on your stock struts after a given period of time.

people dont pair them with only adjustable strut/shocks its just they perfer to use them and pretty much you only main option. Because the non-adjustable strut/shocks are mainly just OE replacements. Which means they are just the same as your STOCK stuff maybe 1 step better or worst.
