Is this exhaust crap? suggestions???
I saw this on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3714197&rd=1,1
anyone know about this? quality? is it going to last more than one year?
i need a whole new catback, but dont want anything ridiculous and i dont want a huge can fart-muffler...
i wouldn't mind a little more performance, but don't want anything loud...
any suggestions????? please!

Never heard of this company... For $165 shipped it sounds like crap to me. But thats just my opinion. OEM 4th gen exhaust systems run 6/7 times as much.
I wouldn't waste the time/money on that. And if you're looking for more power gain and a quite muffler at the same time, do what I did and get yourself the Cattman exhaust. It cost me $600 for the catback and it has a huge resonator on the b-pipe so it doesn't sound like a honda civic with a huge 4in tip lol.
Or if you really want more power, go with their complete system (y-pipe down to muffler for $1200), its gonna be just a little louder, but sounds amazing IMO and has a lot more power gain.
Anyway route you decide to take, good luck!

i guess what i want is: decent mid-pipe w/resonator and good muffler that doesn't have a 4" tip or is too loud. all of which can bolt-on (hopefully) and has all the hangers welded on.
is this feasible?
would it be best to buy this in pieces? b-pipe (is that what you call it) and muffler?

well i think it affects the back pressure and flow somewhat but then again there are different types of muffles, if u look in the stickies, phenryv1 talks about straight through flow mufflers as being good racing ones.
i really dont know but i am interested in the same thing you are

Tip is looks, and it is the muffler that makes it loud for the most part. Do you have a stock ypipe? If so you can use aftermarket mufflers while staying quiet. If you have an aftermarket ypipe, I would use the 5th gen muffler and have your exhaust shop put it on.
is this where i would get a budget bpipe from?
http://www.budgetexhaust.ca/
how much does that usually cost? and is there a discount through maxima.org?
i really just want to bolt everything up myself and not deal with having someone else do it...

260ish with magnaflow resonator. I can sell you my Dynomax muffler that bolts on to the budget bpipe. It is one of the quieter muffler out there. It drones from 1400-2200. If you have the stock ypipe you wont have this problem. DO you?

Dude, this sounds like me 2 weeks ago. I am the same way, not wanting a huge tip or a fartcan. Just not my style. But my resolution to the problem was going with the full cattman exhaust system for $1215 shipped.
They have amazing customer service and their product is really great. The b-pipe on their catback has a resonator in it so it will not affect the performance gains but in the same respect will not sound like a fartcan.
I am certain that is what you are looking for...

You will have little to no drone then. I was looking to sell for like 65+shipping. PM me. I will try to get an exhaust clip...
yea that looks like crap... if price is an issue get magnaflow high flow cat for 65 dollars. Warp speed y pipe i think is like $200 and a tsudo sp2 $90 sounds just like a greddy sp2. I seen the same setup on vqpower and it sounds really good.

96mAx2fast has the same setup and i think it is a lot cheaper then the others and you get close to the same sound and quality.

the dynomax can be seen at a local murrays for about $50-60 and getting a shop to weld on a flange might be 10-20$. there is no tip on it out the box it depends what tip kevlo put on it. they come in 2 in 2.25 and 2.5 not sure which one kevlo has. And since it had the flanges it should be a used on but he is in FL so very min rust.
I have a 20 dolla magnaflow tip
Cost me 20-30 to get it put on(flanges and all)

i dont think the muffler quite makes a huge difference on 4th gens
right now im running stock exhaust minus a muffler because it fell off and well i like the way it sounds
you can definatley hear it but its not loud in the least
the sound from my cai is actualy louder then the exhaust when i rev my engine
