Sputtering cold start

Sputtering cold start
It's been going on for a while, but it was noticably worse today. When I start my car in the morning, it does this weird sputtering thing. The rpm's stay very low, like almost to the point of stalling. If i tap the gas and gently rev it to like 2000, it will stay there and warm up like normal though. The rpm's just won't get there by themselves. This ONLY happens when it's a cold start. Warm starts are perfectly fine. Any suggestions?

Had this problem with mine but it would stall most of the time. The fix was clean the throttle body and adjust the cold idle cam for more rpms when cold. The car has started fine for two months now and has not stalled at all.
Before cold idle was 300-500 rpm if it didn't stall
Now cold idle is 1500 and drops down to 1000 after 10-15sec.

unless you did something to physically alter the idle setting you should not mess with it. likely something else is causing your start/idle problems, and adjusting the fast idle cam will just mask it for a while.
items that will affect cold start & idle:
TPS
ECTS
CPS
CKPS
MAF
IACV
fuel filter (fuel pressure)
FSM procedure is to check/verify all before messing with the idle adjustment.
if it hasn't been done in a while replacing the fuel filter would be an easy place to start. then just go through things one at a time until you find the problem.

I have no other problems with mine .Alot of nissians seem to have this problem low cold idle i think they were trying to make them sound too refined.
The cold idle cam it just below the throttle it's a little allen head set screw with a lock nut on it.You only need about 1turn out.Do not adjust the throttle stop screw it's the one on top.

Just a suggestion, I had a similar problem, remembered my throttle cable was loose on observation, I just did a few turns and adjusted it. Now its fine, it seems it was never adjusted at the 60k recommendation. I would check your throttle cable to see if its loose, it should have no play in it, mine I was able to move it back and forth 1/4 inch.
