Reseting ECU

I just replaced my MAF with another and heard I need to reset the ECU. I had searched and all that shows up is http://www.technosquareinc.com/350reset.htm and it doesnt seem to work on my car, maybe Im doing it wrong. But some say that it only works on 2k3 and up. If so how do we reset the ECU.

Also I noticed that my car still hesitates accelerating, is this because the ECU hasnt been reset? thanks

I already know what codes I have. I had 3 which were the maf sensor, knock sensor and rear o2 sensor with the o2 sensor being the only one not replaced yet. I was just reading that sence I replaced the maf with another one that I need to reset the ecu, and thats what I have been asking about.

Maybe you still have a defective MAF. Did you buy it used or new? Also, you can check the voltage spec on the MAF as well. Also try checking the MAF harness and connector.

I noticed a jump in my gas mileage when I changed it so I dont know if it is defective, could that happen? Oh and it was used.

Would reseting the ecu help if you have upgraded your car i.e. a turbo?

If you’ve got a turbo, the last software item you should be thinking of is an ECU reset.
