is it any louder then a short air?

 

No, since its tucked in there next to your tire it won't be as loud as it would be if you has a short ram

 

I had a cold air intake on my 98 but the long aluminum pipe produced a loud suction hissing noise so I ended up taking it outl. Adding the cone filter seemed to do a lot more than extending the pipe to a cold location. That was my experience anyway.

 

Maybe you had a leak?

can anyone tell me why my intake sounds like it is sucking air constantly? I have had my intake on for several months now, just recently put a short tube on it and took off all the stock plastic pieces... so is this normal? bad? anyone lol? thanks for all the help by the way
