Well it all started back on April 7, 2000. I got by drivers licsense. Oh what a great time, my parents had just bought my a 97 rosewood SE. I have wanted one of them for proly 3 years and my dream finnaly came true. Moving along wiht my story, almost exactly 1 month past the time i got my DL, i got a small exspensive accident. I was turning into an ALbertson's...like "smiths" or whatever you have around your area, but a lady was turning in the same time i was BAM. well 1,000 dollars later, i had my car fixed, no evidence on my driving record, we never called the cops, she didn't car about her car, and with my dad paying up another 250, i got my hood re-done. all the minor chips/scracthes out. Its a thing of beauty. Well so i have been driving for at least 6 months, and then this happens. I was parked at a school soccer game, and it was starting to becomes WINDY, and I MEAN WINDY! A "Road Work Ahead" sign feel on the back of my CAR!!! what can i do? i now have to pay anouther 500 bucks to get it fixed!!!! the sign slid from the stop of my car of the left back door, to catching on the spoiler and scratching/denting the whole way down!!!!!!!
Well i hope someone else has another good story =)

Got your license in April '00 and got a 97 Maxima to drive as your first car?!?! I can't tell you how many cars I had to endure before I could afford my first Maxima (actually, I can -- 4, spread out over 8 years). Anybody else out there get a Maxima for their first car? Count yourself lucky, man, no matter how much "bad luck" you're having.

When I first got my license, my dad had a 91 Maxima that I got to drive from time to time. Does that count? I usually had to drive my mom's 88 Sentra, an ugly hatchback with busted air conditioning, though. And later, a 94 Sentra that they still have.

I didn't have a Maxima of my own until I graduated college, got a job, and was able to afford my own.

I don't think he's "upset", Probably more like jealous or alittle envious...I think alot of people, myself included, would love to get a car like that at 16! Or any age at that matter.

I'm 16 and my 95 SE 5 spd is my first car. It has every option but the Nissan CD changer. I got my license end of March and got the car like 2 weeks later. My dad had a black 88 5spd that he gave to my sister as her first but she wrecked it. Man let me tell you when he pulled up in my 95 I can't put into words how cool that was espcally since it was a 5 spd (I said time and again I didn't want one but now that I can drive one I'm never going auto again.) All my friends love my car. Even a 5.0 guy that I know really likes it...hehe

It's only a car.

First there's being born under a bad sign.
My first car was a 1971 Dodge Coronet - the police car from the dukes of Hazard -only in crappy tan creme.
What a fat wallowing pig.
I endured many other S&%# boxes until I could finally get what I wanted. a 97 Maxima SE. -
Which I promplty flipped, rolled and totalled against a rock.
(nitto's suuuuck) - the police couldn't believe I was alive.
I think that may have actually been stated on the accident report.-
"cannot believe subject survived"
But you've got a lot of years to be stupid and get in trouble. But maybe that will be your last turn of bad luck.

My horror story

Probably like everyone else, I love my Maxima. This past summer in Las Vegas, I was driving around looking for a bite to eat with family. A truck was tailgating and I wanted to make a right turn into a driveway. Little did I know that there was a large concrete block passed the apex of the inclined driveway. I was in first gear and remained there. My transaxle fluid leaked out, I chouldn't shift, and my transmission rod was bent. I was one sad man. A thousand dollars and one week later, everything was alright. Lesson to learn, it's just a car...ish happens.
But I feel you man, I was somewhat depressed the rest of my vacation.
By the way, my car is not lowered, but I'm considering a body kit. Next time the concrete block will get stuck at the front lip...hehe.

MY first max is the one I have now/ horror story too

I got it when I was 18, it was also my first car. I can tell you at first the sight of the 88 wasnt what I wanted. But after getting it I dont regret it. All of my friends who have newer cars than I do realy liked my car. It has every option except the sonar suspension. Plus the fact that this car was like in mint condition too. Man made it even better. I am 19 now. I still own it and it is a wonderful car, later I plan on gettting a 95-96 but for now I love my car. Well my horror story starts out as I was going to the club. I really didnt want to go that night but my friend convinced me. The club sucked alllll night. I started to regret wasting my gas to even go. So I left early. Well as I was coming home I was driving and the light in front of me changes red. I think I can run it, well soem other kids in a ford thunderbird I think it was a 94 come out of nowhere and Bam right in the middle of the intersection my right fender mangled, bumper crushed and everything behind the sheet metal gone, even a linkage to my wheel was bent alittle. The other car bumper on the other side of the street, no left headlight, and their fender mangled and car faceing my direction too. Well about 2500 dollars and three weeks later, my car like new again. yep I love my car that much. the thing that got me was the bumper cost the most. about 1k dollars, man! But i love my max and wouldnt give it up for anything , except maybe for a newer max ! but that wont be till way later on.

Hey, my first car was a 71 Ford Galaxy 500 with a 429 Cleveland under the hood. It had like 400 horsepower. It was a tank but it would probably have smoked my 95 GLE.
