i just installed my 8000k p&p HIDs i got from the groupsale forum for $160, it didnt come with instructions so im lost on what could be the problem. I plugged everything up correctly (i suppose), but when i turn on my lights they dont come on, do u have to mount the ballasts? hard as hell findin a spot to mount them in the max, thanks

as far as mounting the ballast i just used short screws and mounted them to the realy box. or you can velcrow or tie wrap them there. the bulbs and ballast should be plug and play depending on what make you have there. i got mine for maximabest the helio hids are all plug and play. you cant mess it up.make sure all the connections area making contact.

Did you check the wiring in the harness? Check to see if they are wired correctly. When I got my PnP kit mine was wired for a 9007 light so I just switched the high and low wire and it worked perfectly. Just make sure you don't flip the high beams on with the kit installed the way it is now or else you'll blow your fuses.

to give you the heads up i suggest you wire both ballasts up to a relay. Check your fuses and/or stock relays. Then after that if they still dont work run aftermarket relays to them direct from the battery.

This is a thread that I started for my Bi-Xenon HIDz ... http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ght=HID+wiring

Even if your not running Bi-Xenon HIDz ... you can and I recomend using the wiring schem here with the relays. Yes .. you can do the PnP thing, but can your factory wiring hold up to the higher voltages going to the HIDs? If so ... how long before you have problems?

I got my parts from Parts Express ... good people to buy from. If you're not running Bi-Xenons .... wire the hi-beams like in Morpheous Zeroz picture.

G'luck

. ground is a common problem.. most ballasts need the metal casing of the ballast to be grounded.. such is the case for the OEM xenons etc. from nissan/bmw/merc. so you might wan tot try putting the bllast aganist the rad. support or something thats a ground and see if it turns on.. i found this out when i want to relocate my ballast to inside the bumper below the light.. but then i put it back on the rad support with the heatsink facing toward the front.. for cooling = )

I also would check your ground but i havent seen that many oem hids that ground the case as that would create more heat. Nissan mounts most of there ballasts on the lights them selves so no grounded case there.
