anybody running 17x7.5 wheels at a +45 offset?
anybody running 17x7.5 wheels at a +45 offset?
I'm looking into buying some wheels from a fellow orger.
The wheels I'm looking at are Kosei K1 17x7.5 and the offset is +45. I was once riding on Volks 18x7.5 and the offset on those was +40. So my question here is if there's gonna be a big difference. I loved the way my volks sat under my fender but I wanna make sure that the +45 offset isn't gonna be too far inside the fender. Please I really need to make up my mind quick and Ive been surfin through the org doing research but I cant really do much here at work. Below is my old setup 18x7.5 @ +40 offset, tell me if you think it will look something like that or if the difference is gonna be noticable. Also If your riding on 17x7.5 with a +45 offset please post pics. Thanks, help is really appreciated. Thanks again everyone.

That car looks familiar. Who did you buy it from? I remember it being for sale some time ago from someone else. Anyway, if you like the +40 offset Id stick with that. I have 17x7's with 235/45/17 tires. I believe mine are +45 and I want some spacers to have them be like the +40 offset.

Does anybody know what the width and offset is to the 17inch 2k Max Se Wheels? I was running those for a while, that's actually what I'm rolling on right now. If it looks something like that I definitely wouldn't mind getting em.
stock 17's are 17x7 + 40
I had 17x7 +40 and with 235/45/17 and it sat pretty flush in the fronts. rear was hard to tell because my wheels didnt sit even (had re-center the rear beam). Since then i upgraded to 17x8 +40 and it didnt change. Ideally i think you want to run maybe a 10mm spacer in the rear. Im fine with mine, cuz i am going to be pretty low once i get my coilovers.

compare, according to that there was no difference between running 17x7 +40 and 17x8 +40 other then the width of the wheel, which is what i figured too.
In your case, i they will stick in a little more then the oem 17x7's would. but that can easily be fixed with a spacer. 5mm in the front, should bring you flush, and a 20mm in the rear should bring you just about flush. Depends on your drop though, if your really low flush will rub or require you to roll your fender.

Thanks man, this really helped alot.
So i guess I'll go ahead ask one last question.
Would you guys buy a set of 17x7.5 wheels
@ +45. offset? Considering the fact that they
are in excellent condition and that they're
expensive wheels new and your getting them
for a good deal, plus the Fact that they are rare
and now discontinued. I only ask because I'm not
the type to use spacers, i dont wanna deal with
having to change out the studs and all that stuff.
so if i do end up buying these they will be goin on
the max with out spacers. So without spacers do
y'all think it would look good? I love these wheels
and i know there worth alot so i really wanna get
em but that +45 offset is really my only concern.
i just wanna make sure it looks like it belongs on
the car, I'll be throwing some new 235/45 tires on
there soon so just wondering what everyone thinks.
I'm currently sitting on Tein S.Techs and I'm saving
for some Ksports, so I will be slammed pretty
soon. please let me know what y'all think. I must
make my decision today. Thanks again everyone.
I might buy them to sell, but I probably wouldnt run them on my car. I dont like using spacers either, I want the offset to be just right. Also, 235 tires are too big for 7.5 rims, Id use 225 MAX, but even 225's are going to buldge out a little bit.
I had 225's on my 17x7's and it was fine, the sidewall was straight not bulged or stretched. (michelin pilot sport a/s)
Well most people dont buy staggered setups, because the only way your going to get flush in both the front and rear is to go with different offsets, and sometimes that requires going with a wider/thinner wheel in the back to get the correct offset. but you already no that, but some people may not.

Thanks so much man. If that's what +45 offset
looks like then i wouldn't mind getting them.
i think it don't look bad at all.
My mind has always been set on 2 wheels.
Kosie K1's

and the 5zigen Fno1's

I knew the K1's in the anthracite color was discontinued so i was
leading towards the 5Zigen FNO1 hyper black. but then i found these
for a real good price that's why I'm considering them so hard. any last
suggestion from anyone?
you can't compare offsets directly if the wheels are different widths ... a 7.5" wheel with a 45mm offset is going to stick out 1/4" further than a 7.0" wheel with a 45mm offset.

there's my 7.5" K1s w/ 45mm offset. I wish I'd gone with the 35mm offset (like 38 would've been perfect).

enomik-1 , did you end up buying those wheels with the +45 offset?
im looking at a set of 17x7.5 +45 right now and probably going to wrap them in 225/45/17.
its been at least 4 years since i've purchased new rims for my last maxima. doing some new research on what others have done.
thanks
