Anybody with a 4th gen. have BFGoodrich Comp T/As on their wheels? I've been thinking about going with some BFGoodrich tires because of the GTech promotion deal they are having, and it looks like the Comp T/As are my only real choice for a performance tire that can perform moderately in rain/snow.

Also, what size tires did you put on? It looks like I can't get the Comp T/A VR4s in 215/55/16....think I'm restricted to 215/50/16 or 225/55/16. Not really sure if I want to go wider than stock...the Maxima already performs below average in the snow...no need to make it worse.

Any other suggestions on good all season / performance tires from BFGoodrich would be appreciated!

I have BF Goodrich Comp T/As on my '99 Max. They stick to the road very well and from what I hear, the last a little longer than the softer tires. I used 225/50/16. I can't tell you how they will handle the snow. I live in the deep south.

I bought BFG Touring T/As for my integra in september or so. They did fairly well in the snow (I'm in nebraska). I preferred my previous Dunlop A2's a bit more for all-around traction, but the BFGs corner pretty well and really don't squeal (or just barely) when I've taken hard corners. I think they might outperform the A2's in the snow/rain a tad. Not as bad as people knock them off to be I guess, for the price.

I got the 225 50 16 for my 97 Comp TAs. The best thing about them is they burnout well. Alot of smoke and they also wear well. They are quite heavy though, probably cause of its 300+ treadware rating. Anyway, next time around, I'm not getting the 225 50 16 size. I'm going to stick to the 215 55, so theres less of the SUV look, and also less friction to overcome.

I have the BFG Comp T/A HR4's. Just breaking them in (`600 miles), so I can't tell you much yet. Certainly better than the bald toyos I had when I got the car 3K miles ago, and the price was very nice. They seem to stick pretty well in the dry, last night there was a little hydroplaning when someone cut me off in the hard rain and I had to break hard, but I pumped the breaks a couple times and had no trouble slowing enough. Anyone know if it's true that tires handle better after a few thousand miles of breaking in?
