headlights plz help READ URGENT

my headlight keeps goin on and off one while driving and to get them back on you can just tap one and it goes back on the other is wierd you can hit the wires and it goes on and off but wont stay on

now my question is i have high wattage light did they burn something so it flickers or i also have a system did it rattle something loose what can it be ? thanks

1.)Check your wiring harness, it could have a short in it.
2.){The more likely of the two) Your headlight filament is making a non-continuous contact with the post. Replace the headlght.

get an upgrade harness and swap the ground wires out with a larger gauge wire.....

It's not a short circuit. A short causes blown fuses, and that's not the symptom you report.

Remove the sockets and examine them for signs of overheating (scorched appearance, melted plastic). Repair or replace damaged parts. Consider reverting to stock bulbs in the interest of better reliability.

Welcome to the wonderful world of over wattage bulbs! If you keep it as is in a week or two that headlight will be dead. Go to VIP and buy a 9004 SOCKET not the bulb. Cut off the old socket and put on the new one. Takes 5 minutes. I have to do this ever 3 or so months.

y don't you just buy a high wattage upgrade harness?

it happened to me too... go get the headlight exchanged. like clockwork now!
