Tail lights

I just did mine 2 weeks ago. It went pretty smooth. I have plenty of clear plastic left over as well. I'm up in Ramsey, so if you'd like a hand maybe we can all get together and I'l help you guys out.

How far are you guys from cherry hill, NJ. The reason I'm asking is cuz I live in Philly... so I wanna know an estimate of how far you guys are. I wanna get in on the tail light mod also. Dont have the funds to buy the ones off custommaxima.com.

njmaxseltd: Do you have pics of your tails? Do they look alot like the ones Greg sells on his custommaxima.com site?

Tail lights

I'll take some shots tonight and post them on here for you. The only thing I did different was not to go all the way over covering up the red side marker. I think it looks very cool, the lines match up with the side marker on the top portion of the brake light reflector.. The pic will show you what I mean. Either way I have enough clear to do whatever you want.

Tail lights

OK here's a shot of my red/clears. Like I said, it's really easy. Maybe some Saturday we can all get together and have a tail light bbq and beer blast. Download this file and see how you like.

What do the 96 tails look like? Similar to mine? If so it's got to be easy. Hey guys, one small problem about doing this at the meet, we need an oven set at 220 to bake the assembly.

won't work on 95/96. the amber is part of the lens itself. you would have to cut it off.

it looks jacked up. that part of plastic would be gone. You would really need to seal it well. just get the all clears and paint them.

So far I have not decided my mind yet, I am in like 65%.

Need answers:

1. Exact date and place?
2. Guarantee that my light will not break during mod?
3. How much it will cost me?
4. What bulb size I should buy?

Thanks!

if you need email me yaroslav74@yahoo.com

I pretty much in.

njmaxseltd: You just have to let us know when you can do it and where? I think its best to do it on a saturday at your house since you said it needs to be baked. How many sets will you be able to do for? Please give us an estimate. Are you gonna charge any $$'s for it? Since you are the main guy that is doing it.... give us the details so everyone can decide. Thanks in advance!! ... cant wait....

OK here's the deal - I'm located in Ramsey, thats about 5-10 minutes north or Paramus off of rt. 17. The whole process takes about 1-1/2 hours to complete. I think 2 cars at a time would be max for the day. So if anybody is up for this Saturday let me know today if possible. I'm not going to put a price tag on this. You guys pick up the tab for food lunch time and beer. I'd like to start in the AM around 10:30 or 11 ish. You need to get orange bulbs for the blinkers. Pick up a set at any automotive store. I have the clear plastic for the lense.
My e-mail at work today is tfontana@stauffusa.com E-mail me and I'll give my # out and we'll try to set this up. First come first serve basis, 2 cars this Saturday.

so looks like I am out of luck for now, maybe next time since I have to drive from NYC into NJ. Since you can do only 2 cars and others already took it.

Perhaps anyone here in NYC can do it? I do not mind to pay some fee.

Thanks!

I saw someone was nice enough to mention my name on this.. I will do your tails for you for 50$, I have all the supplies needed, if you want different color lights in there as blinkers then you should bring them, they are 1156's i believe. I live in Mountain Lakes, NJ.. near Rockaway mall and morristown area.. No oven needed or any of that, just use a heat gun, someone from the forum is coming to my house tomorrow prior to the Hillsborough meet and I a doing his tails for him....

Email me SSJTien@aol.com for any questions on this..
