I have 17" Konig tantrums on lower then normal 40profile dunlop tires... The rims weigh in at 19.2lbs... Dont know about the rim/tire combo...

I am going to the track tonight for the first time... should I run on my tantrums or my stockers.. they are both 215's.. tantrums have less tread on the front then the stock ones, but they are dunlop sport w10's, opposed to my 99% tread of crappy all-year tread on my stockers...

any ideas ? ?

rotate your rear tantrums to the front and run that. i wouldnt lower tire presure too much , but i dont really know much about that ,,,, the tantrums will give you more grip, if you get the rear ones on the front, and spin less on the line then the all year tires. also, i think the stock wheels are like 20lbs arent they ? so the tantrums should be lighter. just my .02
