I'm gonna call you on your BS about an M5 engine swap. First of all, your engine bay is too damn small for it. I know because I had a 98 323is and that engine bay is bigger than yours. Second, the transmission housing it too damn small to accommodate that 6-speed gearbox and drivetrain. Even with some serious tearing apart in there, I still doubt that there is room for both. I'll believe it if I see it.

actually it is possible to put in the M5 V8 in the 3series... the E46... a company called Nowack has one of them.,..
and the AC-E46 doesnt look very special... you have to disclose the basics... is it auto or stick... and what engine size any major mods?
how would you feel if i dropped a 2.7L TT 420hp V6 from the Audi RS4 into a Volkswagone beetle? and if i jus called it a beetle

 

i just took the time to read every post on this thread. i have to say that i think we need to put a stop to this " i know a guy that would" stuff.. guys, sorry, i know this kid is ****ing everyone off, but its gettin old now.. how bout this.. bmw boy.. if ya wanna race ill race ya. not for slips, im not 12, for a handshake and bragging rites ok.. this is not my neighboor's car, my friend's friend, or my boss's. i have a 93 typhoon with a little work done to it. rite now its at total performance in nj and will probably wind up with a new engine cause the lower end was knocking. its not getting any kinda race engine, just another stock one or itll just get a rebuild. if you are running an m5 engine, i think its a fair race. also, we would have to race in new york cause i cant drive in nj for another 3 months. so lemme know if your intrested, but like a said, you'll have to wait till i get the truck back and we'd have to do it in ny.. lemme know...

Kinda funny cause Hartge only does that kinda swap and it totals over 100k if i remember correctly. As for u beating Ferraris...Not gonna happen.

Man, if the he really had a M5 conversion then heck yeah, I'll race him for my car. He would kill me but since he was here he can try and race my buddy, Joel Perez's yellow Corvette (he owns Henessey Motorsports from the Corvette v. Viper Shootout). Then Joel could give me his car. I think that would be a good trade.

BTW, I do know about the M5-E46 in Germany. I hoping he would post photos of that one to claim they were his.

 

Well, I knew he wouldn't do it. I originally offered my car, but when he said it had to be street legal I offered a friends...of course he came up with every excuse he could, but hey can you blame him? If he wanted to race a fair race, race another BMW, if not don't try to pick on Maxima's, because we aren't stupid.

Actually, to break it down for you guys, my friend told me about this forum, i was kind of bored all day, so decided to mess around a bit, my car is really the car in the picture, it has no M5 motor swap, coming soon is an ECIS intake, its dropped with H&R Race and has 18 inch Schnitzer type 3's, and i bet most of you would beat my *** in a race, but i had fun kiddin around, if you guys are around here maybe ill come with my friend to some maxima meets but im usually on dtm power and e46fanatics, sorry for playin the joke this long but i got a good laugh, anyhow nice chattin with you guys. once again my apologies if you guys took me seriously and got all wound up lol...take care

Actually I think that Beetle already exists. It's one of the fastest street legal cars.

I can't get enough of the Bavarian beasts. My father has a 90 M5 E34, and I also had an E28 M5 for a bit. OVERALL, BMW make the best cars on the planet.

hey uh milehigh, just out of curiousity....ur bros G20 has hella mods right? cuz it'd have to to beat a e46....

 

It's hella fast. It has the SR20DET in it. Since the G20 comes stock with the Sr20DE it is easy to fit the SR20DET into the car the only problem was the rear-wheel coversion. Luckly my bro found that the Nissan Pulsar motor come with the turbo but is also front-wheel drive. it only has a few bolt ons but the motor alone produce 240hp.
