well..i try to keep whats under the hood a secret...but no forced induction, ill tell you that much.

 

Probably nice 50 hp ECIS intake.

 

actually after looking at the pic, i would guess a 325 or 323. Not sure though. So that 2.5 isn't that impressive. I hope you have some good mods.

 

I know a guy that would probaly race you. He has a '01 M3. Only problem is that you are in NJ and we are in TX.

I think the whole ppoint of racing for slips is to not disclose what you have under the hood.

 

1)hes running NOS or some other trick that makes him think hes unbeatable
2)hes full of BS
3)hes got too much time on his hands,
4)hes not to bright

I think its a combo of the latter 3

but with that said

Theres this guy down the block from me with an NSX want me to ask him?(no bs he really has one)

I agree, but if he still thinks he can beat it, I have a friend running a 700hp Ferrari F40. We were at the track yesterday and he was killing M3's and 911 Turbos like they were hondas.

damn thats a nice car, i love the f40 compared to the f 50's...boy if i had that car for one run around the track ...anyays i think shnitzers ride is just a base 3 series 4 door...with prob some simple engine mods...cai maybe nos or an sc...unless he has a 5 seires or so motor in it like the hartge bmw's...look like mormal 3 series bimmers but have the v8's in them and can smoke most street cars out there

I will race only Street Legal cars, if you want to go in a ferrari, come right ahead, name a place time and date, i am pretty sure i could smoke ANY stock ferrari out there that is street legal, i have taken out porsche 911 turbos and NSX's. once again i will not say what is under the hood other than there is no forced induction involved.

 

Will you race on a track against a street legal ferrari? The F40 is street legal.

On sat we were at Lime Rock. In 2 weeks we will be at Watkins Glen, NY. Its the Ferrari Challenge race weekend. On Sat. they will let any cars race though. Let me know.

the thing is, i came to a maxima board to see if anyone wanted to race for slips, plain and simple, you wanna go to your "cousins, mothers, brothers, sisters boyfriends' friend who lives in god knows where and claims he has a ferrari" to race me, you go ahead, but i still dont hear a first-person competitor wanting to race, ill tell you a little something, I have an engine swap. so i let you in on some more hints now is anyone FOR REAL on this board or you gonna keep giving me diablo's that joe shmoe has down the street to race?

 

The Maxima was designed as a 'sporty' family car, not as a pocket rocket. The reason no one is racing for slips is because we realize this. May I ask you what was the point of posting this BTW? Did you really expect someone to be stupid enough to say 'I'm game, lets get to it'? We have a 3000 lb 4 door that makes ~200 HP. Sure as hell not the slowest thing on the road, but I don't think any of us is delusional enough to think it is the fastest.

 

dude, the cars here are modded STOCK engines.... your car is nothing of the sort. they can challenge you with whatever the hell they want. get outa here
