recommended size is 235mm but you can fit a 245mm safely on an 8" width. Depending on the offset you may or may not have any rubbing problems.

Heavier wheels = slower acceleration. If it's only a few pounds more, it's not a big issue. If the wheels are 27-30+ lbs each, then you'll really notice the difference.

wider tires = more grip. but... I'm not a fan of the Kumho 712s.

I have heard if go to big you can put more miles on the car.Say if before bigger tires/wheels some place can be 10 miles after new tires/wheels can be 20 miles or something like that is any truth in this and how big of a change for this to happen

aaaaaaaah thats wrong

IF YOU HAVE A LARGER DIAMETER WHEEL ON YOUR CAR YES IT WILL THROW OFF YOUR SPEEDOMETER, BY READING LESS MILES. NOW IF YOU HAVE LITTLE WHEELS AS IN LIKE 225/40 18 IT WILL BE LIGHTER AND YOULL BE PUTTING MANY MILES ON YOUR CAR. A SMALLER WHEEL HAS A SMALLER OVERALL DIAMETER. THATS THE REASON WHY THEY PUT SMALLER PULLEYS ON A SUPERCHARGER TO GET MORE BOOST RIGHT TO SPIN THE LARGER PULLEY MANY MORE TIMES.

larger rolling diameter results in lower-than-actual-mileage, not higher. When you're within 1-2% of the factory specs, it should not be a problem for speedo error.
