I had to look twice, but I'm pretty sure I saw a 4th gen with a xle badge. Am I seeing things, or is there really such a thing?

No such thing. The only levels ever offered from the factory were: GXE, GLE, SE (ES canada), SE-Limited. Anything else was added by the dealer or owner.

How could I forget the rare and powerful GLE-R and the not so rare (a bunch of people on max.org have 'em) GTR.

Thats what I thought, but I'm positive it said XLE. It was an old lady driving a stock 95 or 96. Oh well...
