light went out while changing the dome lights

i was changing the bulbs for the dome lights, i was having some trouble fitting them but as i was doing it the new light went on for a bit so i fig it was the right bulb. when i got done nothing went on. put the stock ones back and still nothing. i noticed my door lights, map, and trunk light wouldnt work anymore either. check some fuses and they look good. can anybody help???
ps: my odom, glove box seem to work still....

- fuse #12 (7.5 amp)
- fuse #26 (7.5 amp)
- fuse #40 (7.5 amp)
In the engine compartment fuse and link box (adjacent to the battery) check ...
- fuse #56 (7.5 amp)
If you are lucky one of those fuses is blown.
If you are unlucky the Body Control Module is "fried".

thank you, i found one of the fuses that was blown and prob is fixed. however, i would like to know what "body control module being fried" would do and how/much it would cost to fix something like that. thanks dmb for helping out as usual also...
