is there any reason why anyone hasnt just bought a fiberglass cowl scoop and had it molded into the hood yet? not for nothin, but i think like a 1" cowl would look damn good.. anyone ever see a pic of this done yet??

Why would you want to look like you stole a part off a Chevy? It would look as out of place as those Camaro SS hoods on Cavaliers IMO.

To answer your question why no one has done that, maybe because it would look wierd! I mean, what would a hood scoop do for a Maxima? It's not like we have our air intake system anywhere near the centerline of the hood.

If anything it would help if you made a ram air style setup by making a scoop that actually is sunk into the hood for cold air without a filter under the fender. Ive seen it on a couple of my friends VW 2 have there inlets in the hood and 1 has there in the fender. It looks really nice.

Why add to the rice? I think the hood idea is not bad but I think anyone that knows/or cares would know that the scoop is in the totally wrong place. I could just see the muscle guys snickering.

If you want a scoop that really works, you could try putting the Z31 turbo scoop right over where the cone filter would reside. That would at least be functional.
