Average $$$ amount total for mods to your Max?

I just wanna know how much I should expect to spend on modifcations that actually add to the Max's performance and looks etc.... I'm getting a farely big bonus soon and i want to try and buy everything at once. A nice round figure would be greatly appreciated. Comments are also welcome and urged.

Here's what I have and I'm happy with it.

Whatever you do, don't get any muffler. Keep your factory muffler. Even if you get the whole Greddy setup, you will go crazy and possibly go deaf. If you get the muffler, the car will become UNDRIVABLE. I'm not talking about that nice throaty sound you hear on WOT, that's nice actually. But it's more than that. The car will have a CONSTANT wing~~~ or bng~~~~~ noise. I think the technical term for that is resonation. My car is completely stock now and I like it because it's very quiet.

Just get the intake, ypipe, maybe a 2.5" piping and a resonator, but keep the stock muffler. But If I were you, I'd just get new 17" wheels (the 96 stock wheels are very ugly) and keep the car stock. Of course, the FSTB and clear corners are given. You need those without a question. But if you're looking to mod your car, that means you've already been bitten by the bug and your curiosity will not subdue until you actually get those mods. That's what happened to me when I was 21 years old and in college. But if I could go back to 2 years ago, I would not mod my Maxima again.

Anyway, my point is, DO NOT GET ANY MUFFLERS!!!!

Probably around 7k. It's hard to add up since I've swapped out a bunch of parts.

Doin everything at once will save you labor $. Won't have the fun of adding pieces and seeing the changes as they happen though...

$3700 in parts and almost finished (just the ECU to go)

I figure I'm into mine about $2400 right now, and that is doing all of my own installation and buying a few things used. I pretty much just replace the things that wear out with something better (except the rims) and with 120k I seem to get that opportunity pretty often. The good news is that I have spent a total of about $250 in repairs other than maintenance. The problem is that there is about $2000 worth of stuff I would buy today if I had the means, and that's keeping it NA with a stock stereo. I hope I get a good job when I graduate.

$$$ Issue

A little less than $5 G's on my car, labor included for some parts, such as tokico/eibach installation.

Total Mods = $1,600.00. That's right. I have a family. I am very proud of this because I feel "cheap" compared to how much other guys spend.
